Meet the IPP Team: Sandra Ische

“IPP’s goal is offering a real solution for their customers, not just products”

Sandra started in February 2023 as sales manager for IPP Packaging Materials Germany in the carton board team. With 27 years of experience in cardboard and packaging, she knows the German market inside and out. Sandra became familiar with IPP 25 years ago. She will tell us how their paths crossed several times, leading to joining the IPP team.

After working and living in the UK for nine months, Sandra is now back in the Black Forest in Germany, where she was born. Sandra loves to travel, but realized she needs all her family around and a place where she can fully relax and reload. The Black Forest is a great area for that.

Sandra spends her free time enjoying the beautiful surroundings of her hometown by cycling in nature. It is much easier to get around the mountainy area now that she and her husband bought e-bikes. After enjoying the fresh air, she bikes home in full speed to wind down with a glass of fine wine. The many wineries in the area and a membership of the wineBANK fulfil her passion for wine. “It’s a great way to meet people and enjoy wine tastings”, says Sandra.

An easy decision

Sandra first came into contact with IPP in 1996. She just started working at a the MM board mill in Baiersbronn (Germany) and IPP was their representative in the Netherlands. She met IPP’s Jeroen Kuiper at a seminar. “We learned a lot about the production of carton board and its properties. We stayed in touch via LinkedIn from time to time. It wasn’t until years later that our paths crossed again. The company I was working for at that time was looking for a Dutch agent”, Sandra explains, “I thought of IPP and called Jeroen.”

A couple of years later, Jeroen learned that Sandra was looking for a new challenge. While in the process of signing for another job, Jeroen offered her the position of sales manager for IPP Germany. She didn’t have to think about it very long. Sandra liked the structure, orientation and innovation of IPP. The decision to come and work for IPP was easily made.

Selling solutions

Sandra started her job in February 2023 and is now responsible for representing IPP in the German market. “IPP’s goal is offering a real solution for their customers, not just products. That’s what I like about this job”, Sandra explains.

“Germany is an even less discovered territory for IPP. The big difference between working in Germany and working in the Netherlands or Belgium, are the distances. In Germany, everything is further apart. This makes it challenging to visit my customers. On the other hand, meetings are well planned with enough time for qualitative and extensive talks.”

Since Sandra started working for IPP, she has been driving across Germany introducing IPP to potential clients. “Right now I’m mostly showing the materials of Klabin and Onboard”, says Sandra, “But I am also looking forward to exposing Germany to other products and services in IPP’s extensive portfolio.”
